Post-Christmas Crackers

Lately, Jared and I have been trying to make it to his parents house on a monthly basis for Sunday dinner. We try to make it for the first Sunday of the month, but that doesn't always pan out. In either case, we managed to make it on January 12th for a good visit and some delicious roast beef with mashed potatoes. Jared's parents are both excellent cooks!

After dinner, Jared's parents brought out some Christmas crackers that we had intended to use when the whole family (minus missionary James) was around for Christmas. The crackers had been forgotten so we decided to bust them out for some after dinner fun. There were quite a few of them so we got to open 2-3 of them each. They had funny little prizes in them like keychain flashlights, mini calculators, pens, bottle stoppers, mini tripods, and small cloth shopping bags. We put on our fabulous gold crowns after and I instructed everyone to strike a pose. Everyone did, as you can see, except for my dear Jared. He smiles all the time except for when the camera is on him. That's when he refuses to smile! I guess it could be worse. He could be picking his nose in the picture or something. Anyway, here are some pictures from the evening!
